Something like, oh I don’t know, a year ago (!) a talented and inventive Beehive Member suggested hosting a pop-up designer and vintage clothing sale here. It was a great idea then, but as things go, it slipped off my radar.
Then Carson and I went to New Zealand and I was amazed by the number of “op shops” and vintage clothing stores. In kiwi lingo, “op shop” means “opportunity shop.” They are typically operated by a religious charity or other non-profit. And you know what? They are fancy as in really nice clothing, some designer stuff, and the stores look like the other boutiques dotting the downtown thoroughfares.
So how timely was it that L. reached out while I was wandering around New Zealand snapping up vintage and second-hard dresses?! And so, you are invited to join us for:
Beehive Sewing’s Pop-Up Op-Shop
Sunday, January 21st from 11AM to 3PM
A small group of vendors will be selling women’s clothing like:
- Day dresses
- Casual pants and trousers
- Business attire
From designers like:

- Vintage Hanae Mori
- Vintage Bob Mackie
- Margaret O’Leary
Think you have a collection of vintage or designer items to sell? Let me know!
Hope to see you there!
