This week’s common sew is our “MISS MANNERS” mitered corner napkins project! The sew-along is:
Saturday, March 3
6PM to 8PM
$38 per person | extra kits $25 each | member discount 15%
There are about a million ways to make cloth napkins (OK, really, like 5), but stitched mitered corners are by far the nicest and most professional looking.
Your success in this project rests on a couple of things: consistently using Beehive’s maybe-one-day-to-be-patented mitered corner template (which comes in your kit), and your capacity to do some zen pressing at the iron to get nice square napkins.
Your kit includes four pre-cut squares of fabric, two cardstock mitered corner templates, and a passcode to watch a private instructional video so you can make the project again and again.
This is a great project for someone who wants some practice stitching straight lines, a crafter who wants to give a beautiful housewarming or hostess gift, or a family that’s switching from paper to cloth napkins.
